FAQ
Q1: Does this connector support FastConnect?
A: No. The 6GK1500-0EA02 does not feature the FastConnect stripping/quick-connection mechanism; it requires traditional wiring using standard PROFIBUS stranded cables.
Q2: Does it include a PG programming interface (an additional Sub-D socket)?
A: No. This model does not have a PG/PC diagnostic or programming socket (i.e., there is no 9-pin D-sub socket stacked on top for connecting a laptop for debugging).
Q3: How are the terminating resistors enabled or isolated?
A: It features a built-in switch/resistor combination with an isolation function. The status of the terminating resistor can be toggled via an internal switch: "ON" engages the terminating resistor and isolates the downstream bus, while "OFF" disconnects the terminating resistor.
Q4: What is the product lifecycle status?
A: According to official Siemens information, this product entered the phase-out stage (announcement of product phase-out) on October 1, 2026.
